The Long Tall House by Kagawa Takanori and Tappei Ito of Spacespace sits in a peculiar site near the Shibuya area in Tokyo. Contextually, the house in this crowded residential area bridges two ground levels spanning 5 stories vertically to accomodate a variety of rather cozy spaces. The south and north facades have large translucent windows and an aluminum wall which slide up and down manually with counter weights to hide or reveal openings. Neat!
