Brooklyn Base SO-IL (Solid Object Idenburg Liu) won the competition for this year's P.S.1 installation to be erected in the summer. The courtyard at PS1 will be littered with 25' tall poles connected with a web of bungee cords to create an elastic environment that responds to human interaction. The canopy will be littered with balls apparently and touches down at the central pool where one can move through the canopy. Seems like a mix of trampoline and beach ball! Could be fun. Usually these things never turn out as nice as the rendering considering the budget... The interactive component of this years winning entry could prove to be more engaging. Something to look forward to in the summer! (Via Arch Daily)
